About us
It all started in the summer of 2012 when I needed an axel for my machine.
I tried to buy it local; or even within Canada, but my efforts were fruitless. My search left me frustrated, and wondering why such a simple part could not be found in stock. The high cost to order one in left me in shock. My search for what I needed lead me where else but E Bay. I was surprised to learn I could have my parts delivered to the border in a couple days, and at a third the price from the local shops.
Knowing I would inevitably be playing hard again soon, I decided to be proactive and make a few calls. I phoned a major supplier Super ATV carrying the Rhino Brand. I was lucky enough to get a sales manager on the phone. He suggested that I purchase a few thousand dollars of product and he could set me up as a distributer, with distributor pricing. With that in place, I could sell parts to my friends and family, and people I met on the trails. Not to mention outfit my own machine with all the latest gear. And just like that Cutter Loose was born!
We started selling parts out of a cargo trailer, it was a great. We could take it with us on our trips to the mountains, and we always had what we needed. As our fellow riders broke down we had parts on hand… and word of mouth spreads fast when have what they need. It was barely a year later when we opened the showroom in one of the partners towing company shop. This gave a place to display products, and machines decked out with all the accessories an enthusiast could imagine. By the summer of 2015, Cutter Loose had outgrown the space available and moved to its current 2000 square foot show room. In the spring of 2017 we are excited to be doubling the showroom size, as well as add other brands and parts beyond Polaris! Major suppliers such as Pro Armour, EMP, High Lifter, Aid Filters, Amisol Oil, Maverick Distributing, UTV Canada, Trans Canada DM Parts, and B&B Electronics to name a few are also available. Our supplier list keeps getting bigger! We consistently try to carry needed products in Canada for customers at a fair price, without the hassle of importing from the states.
Our customer base stretches from St John’s Newfoundland to Campbell River British Columbia. So, you can see we sell from sea to shining sea. Our repeat customers tells us they like what we are offering. With the continued support of our fellow enthusiasts we look forward to seeing everyone out on the favourite trails.
